If we haven’t met yet, I’m Sasha.
I’m a Christian woman, wife, mother of six, and pediatric occupational therapy assistant (COTA/L). God has graciously woven both motherhood and my work with children into the calling that led me here.
Through my own journey as a mother and my years working with children, I’ve come to believe something deeply:
Nurture the mother first. The baby follows.
I believe a mother’s well being isn’t secondary, it’s foundational.
When a mother feels supported, encouraged, and equipped, she can approach motherhood with greater confidence and peace. When she has space to care for herself, she has more capacity to care for her baby. And when she understands her baby’s development, she can feel more confident responding to what her baby needs.
That is the heart behind Nurturing Dyad.
My mission is to walk alongside mothers through pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood with faith centered encouragement, practical education, and supportive community, helping you move from overwhelm and uncertainty toward confidence, connection, and peace.
It is an honor to walk alongside you as you nurture the life God has entrusted to you.
Why I Believe in Nurturing the Mother First
My journey to Nurturing Dyad has been shaped by both my professional experience and the moments in motherhood that have changed me most.
As a mother of 6, I’ve experienced many different paths to bringing life into the world. During my pregnancy with my sixth child, I planned for another home birth. But after a long labor, I felt God asking me to surrender that plan and trust Him with something completely different: a C-section.
It wasn’t easy. I cried hard before going to the hospital. But somewhere in that surrender, I found peace. I wasn’t choosing the path I had planned, I was choosing to trust the One I knew I could trust.
When I finally held my baby in my arms after surgery, I felt no regret. I felt peace.
What came afterward challenged me in ways I had never experienced before. And through that experience, God opened my eyes to something I couldn’t ignore: we spend so much time preparing for the baby that we can forget the woman who is becoming a mother.
My journey through motherhood, combined with my work as a pediatric occupational therapy assistant, has given me a unique perspective on just how connected the two are. Occupational therapy taught me to look at the whole person, their body, environment, relationships, emotions, and daily life. Motherhood taught me just how much a woman’s well being can shape the way she experiences and responds to the world around her.
And I began to see a gap.
The mother’s well being isn’t secondary. It’s foundational.
That is where my belief was born:
Nurture the mother first. The baby follows.
When a mother is supported, she can feel more grounded. When she is equipped, she can make decisions with greater confidence. When she has space to care for herself, she has more capacity to care for her baby. This doesn’t mean motherhood becomes easy. It means she doesn’t have to walk through the hard parts alone.
I believe God has used every part of my story, the beautiful, the difficult, the unexpected, to prepare me for this calling.
Today, I pour my time, education, and prayers into helping mothers navigate the incredibly difficult and beautiful work of motherhood with greater confidence, connection, and peace.
Because when we nurture the mother, we are not taking anything away from the baby.
We are strengthening the foundation from which both can thrive.
